Our Repair Process

Our Repair Process

From structural rebuilds to finish work, we follow the same proven steps for strong, long-lasting fiberglass repairs.

  1. Inspect and grind

    We inspect the damage and grind back to sound laminate.

  2. Rebuild the structure

    Biaxial fabrics, roving, mat and marine cores, laid up to schedule.

  3. Bond with the right resin

    Epoxy or vinyl ester resin, chosen for strength and adhesion.

  4. Vacuum bag or infuse when needed

    Full fiber saturation and a dense, void-free laminate.

  5. Fair the surface

    We fair and shape until the repair follows the boat’s true lines.

  6. Spray the finish

    Color-matched gelcoat or marine polyurethane.

  7. Wet sand, long-board and buff

    Finished with AQUABUFF compounds for a deep, lasting shine.
