Custom Livewell Builds

Build new livewells in custom sizes and locations.

A good livewell is about more than size. Rounded corners and a deeper well keep bait healthier, and the location has to suit your deck space and the boat’s balance once it’s full of water. We build the well in marine-grade fiberglass with an inlet, overflow and drain, plumb in the pump, and finish it to match your boat.

Pump & Plumbing Upgrades

High-performance pumps, aerators, and plumbing systems.

Weak circulation is often why bait doesn’t make it through the day. We install or upgrade recirculating and raw-water pumps, aerators, spray bars, seacocks and valves, rework the plumbing runs, and can add a timer or a switch at the helm so you control the flow without leaving the wheel.

Fish Box Conversions

Convert storage compartments to insulated fish boxes.

An existing storage box can often become a fish box if it’s structurally sound and sits where it can drain properly. We check that first, then insulate and seal the box, add a drain, and fit a tight, gasketed lid so it holds its temperature and keeps your catch cold, finished in gelcoat to match your boat.

Larger Capacity Modifications

Increase size for more storage and better functionality.

If your livewell or fish box is too small for how you fish, we can often enlarge it instead of starting from scratch. We check what sits around and below the box, cut and extend it, reinforce the surrounding deck so it stays strong, and keep the boat’s balance in mind once the bigger well is full of water.

Repairs & Leak Fixes

Fix cracks, leaks, and structural issues in existing livewells and fish boxes.

Livewells and fish boxes hold water, ice and weight for hours, so cracked corners, failed fittings and worn lid gaskets are common, and a leak can soak the deck core around them. We find where the water is getting out, grind out and re-laminate cracks, re-seal fittings and drains, and test for leaks before finishing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you convert a storage compartment to a livewell?

Often, yes. We check that the compartment is sound and sits where it can drain overboard, then seal and line it, add an inlet, overflow and drain, and plumb in a pump. If the box is too small or in the wrong spot, we’ll tell you and suggest a better option.

What size livewell is best for my boat?

It depends on what you keep alive and how long you’re out. Rounded corners and a deeper well keep bait healthier, and the size has to suit your deck space and the boat’s balance once it’s full of water. We’ll recommend a size and shape when we see the boat.

Do you install pumps and aerators?

Yes. We install and upgrade recirculating and raw-water pumps, aerators, spray bars, seacocks, valves and plumbing, and we can add a timer or a switch at the helm.

Can you make a custom fish box?

Yes. We build insulated fish boxes to your size, either as a new in-deck box or by converting an existing compartment, with a gasketed lid, a drain and a gelcoat finish matched to your boat.

Will the livewell stay cool in hot weather?

An insulated well with a tight, gasketed lid holds its temperature far better than a bare fiberglass box. Steady circulation with fresh water helps too. We can insulate new builds and many existing wells.

How long does a modification take?

A pump or plumbing upgrade is often done in a day or two. A new livewell or fish box build usually takes a week or more, because the laminate and gelcoat need time to cure. We’ll give you a timeline with your quote.
